Emily Armour

Emily Ann Armour, 91, passed away on January 16, 2022. Emily was born on August 19, 1930 in Cranston, Rhode Island to Walter and Anna Baptiste.

Emily enjoyed gardening and traveling. She also stayed active by volunteering at St. Mary’s Catholic Church and Hospice Brazos Valley. She was a devoted and supportive wife and mother as she followed her husband to many different states and even Europe for his work. After retirement they settled down in Brenham and she and Bob enjoyed many years being a part of this community.

Emily is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 68 years; Robert “Bob Armour, Sr., and her daughter; Christine “Chris” Griffin. She is survived by her loving family, sons; Tom Armour and his wife Amanda Ninh and Robert “Bob” Armour, Jr., daughter Jeanne Armour, grandson; Ryan Armour and great-granddaughter Angelica Armour.

A visitation for Emily will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 8 am to 7pm with the family present from 5 pm to 7 pm. The rosary will be recited at 6 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer St., Brenham, Texas. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, January 20, 2022 at 10am at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with the interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Hospice Brazos Valley.
