Florence Kubeczka

Florence Marie Kubeczka, 87, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, November 21, 2022.

Florence was born in Hempstead, Texas on Friday, April 26, 1935 to Joe and Rosie Pawlawski. Florence was 1 of 12 children. Florence was a great wife, mother, meemaw and friend to so many. She will be truly and deeply missed. She was a gardner, housekeeper, farmer, cook, baker, pitchplayer, sausage maker, canner, and Kluski Maker, you name it! If she didn’t know how to do it, She’d learn it!

She loved all and many and was very comfortable with her church friends at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Sandy Hill.

Florence was preceded in death by many; her parents Joe and Rosie Pawlawski, her siblings; Edmund Pawlawski, Henry Pawlawski, Frank Pawlawski, Theodore Pawlawski, Verna Prebilske, Cecilia Vollmer, Wanda DeLuke, Rosemary Adler, Gertrude Pawlawski, and Frances Warmke McGill, but her greatest loss was her daughter, Tina Kubeczka McAdams.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Harry Kubeczka, her children; Calvin Dodd and wife Marisol, Debbie and husband David Winslow, Larry Kubeczka and wife AnnMarie, David Ray and son and caregiver Darryl Ray, sister Ann Black and numerous nieces and nephews. Florence was a very loved “Meemaw” to her grandchildren; Kevin Winslow, Michelle Cole, Shelly Dodd, Justin Dodd, Brandon Dodd, Kenneth Kubeczka, Joshua Kubeczka, Ryan McAdams, Jared McAdams, Savannah McAdams, Lina Gomez Calderon, Christian Gomez Calderon, Billy Ted Green and Brandy Stevens along with great-grandchildren; MiKayla Colbert, Tae Cole, Mia Colbert, Brooklynn Winslow, Avery Cooper, JaCoby Cole, Jayden Dodd, Jaxson Dodd, Maci Dodd, Anthony Hernandez, Andrew Hernandez and Shyla Fernandez.

A visitation for Florence will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 from 11am to 6pm with family present from 4pm to 6pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, Texas. A rosary will begin at 6pm, graciously under the direction of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. A funeral service for Florence will be held on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill located at 8819 FM 2621, Brenham, Texas. Interment will follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. A luncheon will follow back at St. Matthew’s Lutheran Church in the Parish Hall.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Kevin Winslow, Ryan McAdams, Jared McAdams, Kenneth Kubeczka, Justin Dodd and Brandon Dodd. Honorary Pallbearers are Joshua Kubeczka and Pastor Kris Brower.
