Jo Ann Gillum

Jo Ann Gillum, 83, of Bellville, Texas passed away Wednesday October 12, 2022, at her home.

Jo Ann was born on April 25, 1939, to Athanasia Mildred and Leonard Schmidt in Elgin, Illinois.

Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, sister Nona Griffith, daughter Cindy Jo Mitchell, and son James Frank Carl II.

Jo Ann is survived by a sister Margaret Wright, Elgin Illinois, brothers Stephen (Lisa) Schmidt, St, Louis Missouri , James (Cindy) Schmidt, Carpentersville Illinois, and David (Cindy) Schmidt, Centralia Illinois children Theresa (Richard) Arocha, Bellville Texas, Jolen (Edward) Godlewski, Woodstock Illinois, Suellen (Kenneth) Wenzel, McHenry Illinois, Kristine VanLaningham, Kirksville Missouri, and Scott Van Den Bosch, College Station, Texas, grandchildren Sara, Lisa, Eddie, Ryan, Katrina, Michael. Kaitlyn, Beth, Rebecca, Kara, Zackary, Zoe, and Zeth, and 18 great grandchildren.

Jo Ann was a loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. Jo Ann was a member of Bellville United Methodist Church and loved spending time with her family, scrap booking, playing cards, eating her desserts, and chocolate.

Jo Ann will be loved and missed by many.
