Obituary

Joyleen Alma Felscher entered heaven on February 21, 2023, her 92nd birthday.

Visitation will be Thursday, February 23rd from 6-8 pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral services will be held Friday, February 24th at 2 p.m. at Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin with Pastor Ken Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Paul Kaluza, Rusty Davis, Steve Williford, Donnie Klesel, Donald Bathe and Matt Buerger. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles and Sandy Chovanec.

Joyleen was born February 21, 1931 on the family farm near Warrenton, Texas to Arno and Alma Emma (Eilers) Liebscher. She was baptized October 5, 1943 by Pastor Carl Baer and confirmed on September 3, 1944 by Pastor Julian Bosshard both at St. John Lutheran Church of Warrenton. September 15, 1956 in St. John Lutheran, she was united in marriage to Bennie Felscher by Pastor William E. Doer. Joyleen attended Warrenton and Round Top schools. Joyleen and Bennie were in the dairy business for twenty-two years. She loved caring for her cattle and calves and doing garden work. She enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and other game shows on TV. After moving to Brenham, she joined Eben-Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin.

Preceding her in death were parents, husband Bennie Felscher on December 12, 1990, parents-in-law William and Ella Felscher, sisters and brothers-in-law Sylvia and Woodville Felscher, Alice and Guthrie Stepanek, Ruby and Vastine Hackebiel and their son V. R. Hackebiel, Pearl Lee and Larry Wilson, Ella Mae and Perry Bathe and their daughter Carol Ann Overby, brothers and sisters-in-law Lloyd Liebscher, William and Dorothy Felscher, Weldon and Cora Nell Liebscher; brother-in-law Jerry Janacek ; great niece, Ava Gabler.

Surviving family includes: special niece and nephew Tamaria and Paul Kaluza of LaGrange; also nieces and nephews, Lana and John Ashley of Horseshoe Bay, Linda and Rusty Davis of Conroe, Sharon and Bill Blosser of Brenham, Donald and Theresa Bathe of Sugarland, Cheryl and Steve Williford of Houston, Diana and Richard Folse of Dickinson, along with many other nieces, nephews and their spouses; and special neighbors Matt and Tricia Buerger and family; and her furry family includes, CoCo, Fritzi and kitty cats.

For those who wish memorials may be given to Eben- Ezer Lutheran Church.
