Obituary

Margaret Nitsche, 83, passed away Monday, June 30, 2008 at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.

Margaret was born May 22, 1925 in Wharton, Texas to Rudolph and Daisy Mae Meloy Zahn. She was baptized and confirmed in St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Wharton, Texas. On October 21, 1943 she married Benny Nitsche in Wharton. She was a maintenance supervisor at the Brenham State School before retiring in 1990. She enjoyed fishing, dominoes and music and was devoted to her family. She was a member of Senior Friends and TPEA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Benny; son Benny Jr.; three sisters and two brothers.

Family survivors include sons Charles Lee Nitsche of Smithville, Robert Wayne Nitsche of Rosharon, Ronald Gene Nitsche of Smithville; daughters Elizabeth Ann Nitsche Klump and husband Ronald of Round Top, Joyce Elaine Nitsche Andrejczak and husband Harry of Caldwell, Debra Lynn Nitsche Schneider and husband Glenn of Ganado; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister Myrtle Ustynik of Wharton along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 2, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 3, 2008 at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Rev. Rich Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Shelby Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Herschel Ustynik, Dennis Ustynik, Billy Nitsche, Ronald Heath, Russell Klump and Charles Nitsche. Honorary Pallbearer is Royce Bartels.
