Obituary

Marilyn June “Price” Dierking, 80, peacefully passed away with her loving family by her side on July 26, 2022. Marilyn was born on June 12, 1942 in Brenham, Texas to Roy and Edna Price.

Marilyn was a member of the Brenham High School graduating class of 1960. She was baptized in September 1942 and Confirmed in 1956 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem. On September 23, 1963 she was married to Daniel “Pete” Dierking in Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church of Welcome by the Reverend O.K. Oelke. Marilyn and Daniel shared 45 years together and raised 3 children. Marilyn was a homemaker, a ranch wife, loved cooking and helping Daniel check on the cows and was also employed with Port City Stockyards. She loved being with her grandchildren!

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents; husband Daniel; brother and sister in law Fred and Sylvia Price, brother in law and sister in law Tommy and Margaret Richter and sister in law Faye Roeske. Family members left to cherish her memory are sons and daughter in laws; Todd and Janie Dierking, Trent and Erin Dierking and her daughter Tawn Dierking; grandchildren Ty, Talyn and special friend Nathan Lucas and Grace Dierking; sister in law Dorothy Dierking, sister in law and brother in law Erline and Tom Ferguson, brother in law Rodney Roeske and many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Marilyn will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 8am to 7pm with family present from 5pm-7pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel located at 2300 Stringer Street, Brenham, Texas. Funeral Service for Marilyn will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at 2pm at Welcome Lutheran Church located at 13636 FM 109 Brenham, Texas with the burial to follow in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Corey Stegent, Mark Murphy, Charles Hershel Sander, Gary Shupak, Todd Fritsch, Dewayne Lange, Ross Jaster, Scott Schwartz and Mark Schwartz.

Memorials may be donated to Welcome Lutheran Church, Bleiblerville Fire Department or charity of your choice.
