Obituary

Vickie Ann Weiss was born May 6, 1958 in Maywood, CA, the daughter of John and Rosa (Grimm) McKissack.

Vickie called Brenham her hometown. She worked as a medical billing coder. Vickie loved to cook and was an amazing cook. Doing arts and crafts made her happy. She was very talented with making beautiful wreaths and silk arrangements. Her love of music and singing was passed on to her children. Vickie loved to go shopping, especially Black Friday shopping with her daughter Angie. Vickie liked to talk to her friends Kelly Smith, Stephanie Swaim, Latrell Jankowiak and many others about the latest gossip and to share stories of grandchildren. Vickie’s grandchildren were her pride and joy and she loved spending time with them.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Steve Wheeler, sons Billy Bender, Waylon Weiss and wife Candace Weiss. Grandchildren Caeden Barnes, Shelby and Raegan Wheeler, Kimber and Harper Bender. Brother Johnnie McKissack and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, 2021 from 4-6pm at Brenham Memorial Chapel. A funeral Service will be held Monday, November 15, 2021 at 10am at First United Methodist Church located at 408 N Baylor St., Brenham, Texas with the burial to follow at Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Billy Bender, Caeden Barnes, Steve Wheeler, Waylon Weiss, Ryan Bender, Timothy Mantey, Howard Smith and Carl Dahmann.
