When I first visited with Chris a few days ago as a volunteer with a local care organization, I came to realize that we had known each other some 20 years ago when he served as a funeral director and we had spent time together serving bereaving and mourning families. Now, as he faced his own death I saw that he had remained that caring and loving person for all he encountered. As you now grieve his death may the Lord's care and love sustain each of you.
