Elizabeth R. Slayton

Elizabeth guided me through some of the most trying times of my life. And I will miss playing pinochle, even two-handed. She was a great and grand blessing in my life.

To the loving friends of this remarkable woman: I have no doubt that, as Elizabeth was soaring to heaven, she was marveling in the colors and enjoying the joy of vision. However, upon entering heaven, she probably got down to the business of getting things in order. I'm sure there are at least twelve new book clubs covering ALL interest groups and there are more in the works. Even as an angel, Elizabeth won't let any grass grow under her feet! Think of the joy she must be feeling to be out of that bed ! She'll be the busiest angel around!
I join you in celebrating the life of this awe inspiring woman. Her earthly life was lived in the pursuit of knowledge. May she continue her pursuit in heaven!

My husband and I would like to express our sincere sympathy to the family and friends of your beloved Elizabeth. Although we never had the opportunity to meet Elizabeth,personally, we wanted to share with you comfort from Gods word found in John 5:28,29. Jesus showed us a wonderful example of the resurrection when he resurrected Lazarus here on earth, back to the arms of those he loved. ( John 11) Remember also that our Heavenly Father expresses his loving compassion for all of us when someone we love dies. (Psalm 34:18) Be sure to share your memories with those who surround you, for the memories shared are the ones most truly cherished, may they bring you a sense of peace and joy to your hearts as you begin to heal. Take care of yourselves and each other during this very difficult time.
