Melva, I have no words to express my sorrow at learning that you and the family had lost Charlie.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.
Charlie and I spent a lot of good times on the CB radio back in the day. He will be missed by the entire Cb radio family.

Melva,Sharon,Gary,Rosie and Ellermann Family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of sorrow and may God give you strength, peace and comfort in the days ahead. We are honor and bless to have known Papa. I am glad I had a chance to visit with him Saturaday before he went home to be with the Lord on Monday. I will cherish his laughter and that killer smile of his. We will miss Papa here on earth but we know that one day we will see him again.

To the entire Ellerman family. I had the wondeful experience of working with Charlie at Oshmans in Meyerland. I am an Aggie so Charlie and I bonded instantly. I worked there in the summers and Christmas while going to A&M. I could write volumes about this wonderful man but let me just say he was my mentor. I watched,no studied, and tried to absorb the wonderful way he handeled people. How he made them feel special in the store, how truthfull he was leading them to what ever they wanted to buy. People trusted Charlie. They respected his opinion and knowledge. They returned time and time again sometimes waiting for 30 minutes to speak with JUST him because he was taking care of another customer. We had lunch together countless times and I did more listening than talking.I just knew his way was the right way. The only thing he loved more than fishing and A&M was his family and how so proud he was of their everyday growth and accomplishments. We laughed together and discussed everything under the sun. I was 19-20 and other than my dad, he was probably the monst important and influential person in my life. I can honestly say any sucess i have had in life is a direct result of Charlie. RIP.

Melva:
I was so shocked to read in the paper this morning about Charlie. We enjoyed our visits with you and Charlie at the Fork & Spoon on Wednesday mornings with Cameron (our granddaughter) and also on many Saturdays. Charlie was such a caring person and thought so much of Cameron. I will always remember him when I look at the pictures he took of Cameron and gave to us. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

Dear Dad (Pop),
You were my real life hero which probably explains why I expected you to live forever. One thing that will live forever is your love and care you provided for our family as well as others.
I am going to miss our nearly everyday phone calls and seeing you at the kids ball games. And those world famous rib eye steaks.
I miss you and love you with all my heart.
