Lois had a difficult childhood and learned eary on that she would need to work hard to obtain a financially secure life. Nothing was just given to her the easy way. She worked for every thing she ever had and saw her education as a source of security.
What a great mother Lois was to all of her children. She accomplished much while working and raising four daughters. She was very intelligent, beautiful and strong willed. She never quit on her family and was persistant with her protective ways. She always cared for others and voiced her opinions through the years politically.
Mom Lois was a spiritual person even though she did not sit at the end of her life in a church due to illness. She believed in the strength of the family unit and that partners in marriage should honor their agreement.

Momma, I guess you know the blue bonnets are beautiful this year, they will always be my spring reminder of you...Bekah was just this morning talking about the sleep over in DEC and of course Michelle is missing you....they try to comfort me and bring tissues...Bekah suggested that instead of crying I could die and go to heaven so you could talk back to me!! I told her I missed talking to my momma....i love you and I take comfort in the fact you are with Granny and watching over us from above.....no more dialysis yahooo. love, #3 Cyndi

Dear Tanya,
I have tried to reach you by e-mail but your box is full. I want you to know how very much I appreciate you letting me know about Lois. I have notified the other Perry Cousins and they have all responed with the same deep sadness I am feeling. It is so strange to feel such grief over one who has been your online friend and cousin. We have shared so much of our lives and feel so bonded with each other.
My love to all of Lois's family and friends.
In Christ,

My sincere condolences to Frank and the family. It was a privilege to work alongside Lois at Blinn College for many years before she retired.
She was always upbeat and positive, and someone I could talk to about college business.
I will miss her.
All the best to the family,
Ken French

Lois and I were e mail Perry Cousins. I came to admire her intelligence and genealogy skills. Her determination to fight her physical frailties were in the finest Perry tradition. I will miss Lois.
