Ann,
My deepest sympathies on the loss of your father. He is certainly one of the last of a rare breed, a fine, old, southern gentleman. He always had a kind word or a joke to share. He'll certainly be missed by many, young and old.
Again,I am so sorry.

Dr Hasskarl will be truely missed by his family, friends, and community. His love for his family was always evident. His faithfulness to his friends was unyielding. And, his generosity in giving of his time and energies to his community unmatched.

Libby and I wish to express our sorrow in the passing of Dr. Boy. But what a great life he led and what a great family legacy he leaves behind. His life was about giving and caring and he embodied the true spirit of community. We will miss him, but we will have comfort in knowing that his life enriched our life and the lives of so many.

To the Boy Hasskarl family, you have to be proud of your father, grandfather and great grandfather. I had the privledge of working with him at the Brenham Clinic and in Surgery. He was the best Doctor, he took his time with his patients and had patients with new nurses assisting him after his favorite and best nurse Andy retired. You have my deepest Sympathy. God Bless all of you, Carolyn Hall

Our thoughts are with you all. John, we only met and knew your dad in a small way, but we admired his intelligence, candor, and sense of humor. He was always gracious to us and all of us in Brenham will miss him.
