For some reason his name popped into my memory. Gene and I were in the First Cavalry Honor Guard in Korea 1960-61. He was special because he always had a smile and his cheerfulness radiated throughout our barracks which was a Quonset hut. What I also remember was he and I were the only Catholics in our squad and we'd walk together to Mass on Sundays.

My sympathies are with you and share your sorrow at your loss.
