Eileen, You don't know me but I was a classmate of Felix at Randolph Field, part of the First USAF PIlot Class in training, Class 48-C. I am working on a follow up Class book for the original class book entitled "Wingtips". Your husband was a fellow Aviation Cadet. I am the Chair Person for the Class Reunions, President, Treasurer, Secretary and Historian for this wonderful bunch of dedicated heroes. Please contact me via email as I wanted to get your Husband's Biography for the new Year Book. I am writing up 386 Bio's for this presentation of the FIRST USAF PILOT CLASS IN TRAINING - USAF PILOT CLASS 48C and I do need Major Mangham's Bio. I would give you further details of what is needed upon receipt of your email or from one of your sons. You have my deepest regrets on your loss. The Class will be notified of the loss of Felix as well. Sincerely, Roy W. Chamberlin Captain-Retired TWA/NASA.

Eileen

Thanks again for calling. We will try and get together sometime soon. I still have memories of when you all lived outside Washington I think and we came to visit. Shaw took me to the base and I got to go into the cockpit of his plane. At the time I was set on being a pilot andthought that was one of the best things to happen.

We will greatly miss Felix. We were good friends and a neighbor when he lived with Eileen at "Flashing Corners" aka "Snow Drift" on Walker Road. We enjoyed seeing Felix use his great woodworking skills.

I have already contacted Felixs family and offered our condolances.
I served In the Air Force as did Felix and for a period of time we served together on Kindly Air Force Base, In Burmuda.
After our mutual retirement from the Air Force, we both were employed by Texas Instruments as Equipment Engineers.
Felix was a fine technician and friend and his going is our loss and the Good Lords gain.
Till we meet again!!
