Such a kind, & humble man for the brief time I knew him. Shirely may God bless you and the family.

I would like to wish the Maynard family nothing but love from the bottom of my heart. I had moved to Brenham a three ago to work at Blinn College where I worked with Gene's daughter Sheri. Sheri introduced me to Gene a hand full of times and you could see how proud he was of her and how much family meant to him. He would pull me aside and say how much proud he was of his children. I would say yes sir I could see that twinkle in his eye. The Maynard family has lost a patron of the family but they have a support system among each other that doesn't happen with many families, its exceptional. It is built on love, admiration, and consistent loyalty with among one another. I will still admire it from a far. Thank you. Please accept our sincere sympathy. Mr. Gene was such a sweet man. We enjoyed eating at The Cactus and visiting with him and Mrs Shirley. They always made a point to visit their customers and always made time to asked us about our day. He will be missed.
Rest In Peace.
Our condolences,
