Dear Kathryn, Carol and Kathy,

Just want you to know that we are thinking of you and praying for your peace at this time of loss. I have always thought of Gilbert as a father figure and have thought recently about how he put me on the bailer and corn picker when I was 17 and 18 years old even though he had a lot of older employees. He showed a lot of confidence in me and I have considered it to be an honor to have worked for you and known the family. We wish you well and you will continue to be in our prayers.

We are saddened to know Gilbert is not available to be here. I really enjoyed him singing in the Choir and listening to his stories. We hope that God will give you comfort during the emptiness that will be there. Thanks for being a part of our lives Gilbert.

He lived his life with purpose...he made a difference and touched more people than he probably ever realized. We mourn with you.
