To Herbert's loved ones. Growing up with Herbert I knew him as a quiet, humble and gentle man. Several other outstanding qualities was his honesty and his work ethic. I respected him a lot. I look forward to the time, in the near future, when our Creator Jehovah blesses Herbert with his resurrection. You dear ones have much to be proud of. Our condolences. Jimmy and Pattie Smith

The obituary truly describes Herbert. I always liked talking to him at Woodson's. He was a unique man. The world would be a gentler place if more people were like Herbert.

Dear Johnathan and family,Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. We are deeply saddened for the loss of you dad. We will always remember Herbert for the good and kind person he was. He told Johnnie the last time they were trimming trees how much he loved having a new granddaughter.
