I was surprised and saddened when I came across Wayne's obituary in the Banner-Press. Wayne was a special man and I'll never forget his winning personality and willingness to help others. He was a shining example of a Christian man to me as I was growing up at the church in Brenham. My condolences to Wanda and the family. Wayne will be greatly missed.

I'll always remember Wayne standing at the back of the church joking around with everyone and complaining of Wanda's cooking (which we all know is wonderful). He always made everybody feel so welcome. All over town wooden name plates show the love Wayne felt for so many. Whenever I see them, my next statement is always "You must know Wayne Arnold."
We love you Wayne. I'm so glad to have had you in my life all these years. People often wonder if they have ever made an impact on others' lives. Well, you and Wanda have most certainly made an impact on mine. We will miss you, but you have finished the race, and now it's time to enjoy fishing with Jesus.
