He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War, then attended LSU and the University of Houston before graduating from South Texas College of Law. He practiced law in Houston for 38 years, a career chosen as a child, and relished in adulthood for all the good he could do for others.
He is survived by wife, Joyce; children, Jack R. Martin, Jr. and wife, Judi, Dana G. Martin and wife, Crystal, Candace “Cissy” Marinacci and husband, Jeffrey; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Kyle and Austin Jack; two special sisters, Mary Hendrix and Sammye J. Hust, and very special family member and friend, Sergio “Cisco” Rojas. Also surviving are the loves of Jack’s lives, CC and DD, his beloved spaniels.
