Dear Doaty & family, our sympathy to all of you. I know Dee considered Jim one of the best in the cattle business & had many dealings w/MayFair Ranch all those years @ Brenham Packing. Years pass all too quick & know you will miss him very much. Always remember to celebrate those wonderful times you had together.

We send our condolences to the entire Theek Family. Both Patricia and I got to know Jim well during my tenure at TAMU in the late 70s. We considered him a friend, but also a dynamic and visionary cattleman and family man. Over the years he judged several JR Brangus Shows involving our sons and we stayed in some contact.
Jim Theek will be missed!

So sorry to hear of Jim's passing. Always enjoyed my interaction with Jim and always learned something as a result. He was a fine man and a serious, thoughtful thinker on subjects related to the cattle business. I'll miss him.

Theeck Family,
Jim was a giant in so many ways. I will always value the many hours we spent together in so many places. He was always focused on his family and on his cattle and he always had a greater purpose in what he did. He was about as good at planning for the future and understanding the present as anyone I have ever known. The beef industry was his passion and we are so much better for that. Thanks for sharing him with us, we will miss him greatly.
