Uncle Jimmy used to call me often just to visit and check on me. As a child I spent time with Aunt Mary and him and always loved them both. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing but know he is with my Aunt Mary who he loved so much. Prayers always to his loving family.

Runt and Jimmy,
I just found out today from Papaw that your dad had passed away. I feel terrible that I didn't know at the time. Our families had quite a history!!! Runt , I always felt like you were a member of our family. We will keep you both in our thoughts and prayers. If there is anything we can do in the weeks to come please let us know . Runt, you were so wonderful to Nonnie especially at the end of her life for which I will always be so grateful . Please let us do the same for for the both of you.
Love from Lennis and Family

Charles and Jimmy - Sad to hear about your dad. I remember the days going to the Brenham Cub football games with him and your mom together with my mom and dad. Also, everytime he came into the office to pay his insurance he had to speak to everyone. Smiling all the way. I will miss him coming in and asking me "you not married yet? I just can't understand that." My prayers are with you. Becky Bosse

I met Pop when I started dating Carobeth and got to know him even better when we got married. Living across the street from Mary Lou and Pop was a blessing and a true lesson in grace. Conversations with Pop were full of his most famous statement: "Let me tell you one thing..."--that meant what he was going to say was important! A wonderful man, a wonderful neighbor and a wonderful inspiration to me.
