I met Jim 14 years ago when I bought a Aussie from his wife Terri. Jim and Terri welcomed me into their home on several occasions as we trained my new pup on goats and sheep. Jim and I would share stories about Live Oak Fl and how he picked watermelon on his family farm as a kid, we shared great meals and MORE stories driving from the Ranch to Royers for their speciality Pheasant and cherry pie. I was happy to have seen Jim at “work” breaking and training cutting horses, with his devoted ranch dog Max by his side...I was able to capture these moments in pictures which made special gifts to repay him for his hospitality. He was especially happy when his step son Nick would visit and make him a gourmet brisket or when his step daughter Lindsay gave him a grandson. Liam worshipped his Papa Cowboy and would help him with all of the daily chores. Thanks Mr. Carver for letting me be part of the family...May you be at Peace!

Dear Mr. Carver-

Thank you for all your kindness on so many occasions at the ranch. Everything we know about life and all the responsibility that goes along with the privilege of owning a working ranch we learned at the Carver Ranch.

It was always wonderful to watch you and Max work with the cows and horses and you were never too busy to answer questions or to stop in and give a quick hello to us.

We are thankful for the opportunity to share your home and always smiled each time you got out of your chair after lunch to announce "Once again the Cartwrights have saved the day!"

We will cherish the last 11 years of our wonderful memories at The Carver Ranch. Rest in peace, sir.

We send our love. We enjoyed all the years we got to spend with you as part of our family and being “Papa Cowboy” to Liam. I know there are so many memories he will cherish for the rest of his life. The countless rides in the gator, picking up sticks, putting things on the burn pile and just doing chores with you. Until we see you again Godspeed.

My visits to or work at the Carver ranch, to visit Jim and Terri, were always so inviting. Jim always had a great story or joke to tell. Jim was always so quick whited, definitely kept me on my toes.
I will miss him
RIP Jim

We were reminiscing about all of our “Jim” stories on Monday and heard of your passing on Tuesday. God must have been trying to tell us you were moving on.

We enjoyed our weekend trips to the ranch to works dogs. Isaac always loved getting to ride the gator with you to do chores, even when he got bucked off and had to run to catch you!

Thank you for always taking time, even if it was several hours digging a hole with the tractor after 2 years without rain so I could finish a class project.

We will cherish our memories of you.

Kelley, Debbie, and Sara,

Your Dad was a wonderful man and a good friend. We loved our trips and shows and parties with him and Donna.
And we were heartbroken when Donna passed, but I know they are reunited once again. Hugs and prayers..

What a wonderful man! Wow! Rest in peace Jim and what an impact you made on myself. Always had something good to say and was always there to help assist in what ever crazy thing I was trying to accomplish! I think the craziest was it was blowing stink and I was trying to set up a small tent inside my daughters small CM trailer! I had visions of being blown away and Jim did not question my actions, was only there to help me make it happen!
