John started out as my patient and quickly became a friend to me and my husband, Jason. He was so full of life and energy and didn’t let his visual issues slow him down at all. He encouraged us in expanding our business ventures and I will miss having drinks with him at the 4 Star. Whatever party is going on in Heaven, I’m sure he’s there!

So sorry about John. I have this vivid and fond memory of him. It was the very first day John showed up at St Michaels school…probably in about 1959. I looked around the lunch room and immediately knew he didn’t know a single kid. I went up to him and to welcome him and let him know he had a friend in me and the rest of our St Mike’s gang. We were all close friends back in those days. Better yet, we were more than friends….we were family. It’s the saddest thing in life to lose a family member, which John was a part of. God bless the Elford family and RIP our brother!
