Obituary

John Frank Bell, 63, also affectionately known as “Rusty”, went to be with his Lord and Savior on November 25, 2021. Rusty was born on March 9, 1958 in Brenham, Texas to William and Julia Bell.

Rusty was a good son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was known for having a heart of gold for other people and always looking after others before himself. He was a hard worker and took great pride in everything he did. Rusty attended Texas State Technical Institute in Waco, Texas obtaining a Bachelor of Computer Science and was a graduate of Blinn College, earning an Associate of Arts in Computer Science. He was employed by a local family-owned business for many years and even though he was disabled he never allowed it to hold him back. He left his career at its height and elected to attend to his aging mother, Julia in her home for more than 20 years. Rusty was a Christian and gave his life to Lord. He will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved him.

Rusty is preceded in death by his parents and two of his brothers; Leon “LJ” and Kirby Palash. He is survived by his sister; Vivian Raska, brothers; James Bell and Phillip Bell, sisters in law; Lydia Palash and Linda Palash, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews and special friends; Mark Roesler and Terry McMillian.

The family is honoring Rusty’s wish to be cremated and a graveside service will be held at Calvary Cemetery on Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:00am with Pastor Tim Webb officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation.

Services are in the care of Brenham Memorial Chapel and online condolences may be shared with the family at www.brenhammemorialchapel.com.
