I was so sad to hear of Karen's passing. We were good friends during our school years & even worked together at our first job at Dairy Kreme. We had lots of good times at school, riding the bus & at church. In more recent times, she became a Facebook friend with me & she was always so kind & full of love with her comments. Always enjoyed hearing from her. Wish we could have connected again. She will be missed by everyone who knew her. I thought of her often & I will miss her.

Dear Koester Family - I am very sorry to hear of Karen's passing. My sympathy to all of you. I recalled some good memories of Karen and all of you who are siblings. Our parents were friends, we all went to church together back in our younger days, visited at your house across from the church, and recall riding the school bus together. Karen had a kind heart. May you be blessed with God's peace and comfort.

I was so sorry to hear of Karen's passing. Her and I have been friends for many years and still occasionally kept in touch on Facebook. She was a very sweet lady and she will be missed. Praying for the family through this difficult time!

Dear family : The loss of Karen struck us extremely hard. Mother said Karen was like another of her children. We had such fun memories of our neighbors in the Salem community! Do you remember when our dog had her puppies in the snow? It was like an Easter Egg hunt finding those little white pups in the snow but all of you got out and helped. Karen carried them in her sweatshirt until we got them into a warm blanket! She was such a nurturer and loved every child and baby animal.
We are sending you love and hopes that God will hold you tight in His loving hands and give you peace!
We hope to see you later at the memorial service!

I am deeply saddened to learn of Karen’s passing. We worked together for many years. Karen was always fully dedicated to the well-being of those she served and extremely thoughtful of her co-workers. Her love for her family was clear as she often spoke of them. May God bless you all. Rest In Peace, Karen.
