Obituary

Mrs. Lonie (Wellmann) Addicks. 93, of Brenham, died April 13, 2009 in Trinity Care Center in Brenham.

Mrs. Addicks was born on July 24, 1915 in Washington County, Texas to Henry Sr. and Ida (Neumann) Wellmann. She was baptized on October 31, 1915 and confirmed on April 13, 1930 in Immanuel Lutheran Church in Wiedeville. Mrs. Addicks attended Wiedeville School and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

On December 9, 1936, she was married to Willie Addicks in Immanuel Lutheran Church. They made their home in the Kuykendall community where she was a homemaker and helped her husband with farming.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in law; Wilburn and Patricia Addicks and Delphine and Sandra Addicks all of Brenham; daughter, Judy Kerley and special friend, Terry Alexander of Comanche; grandchildren and their spouses, Ed and Cheri Addicks of Brenham, Billy and Jennifer Addicks of Houston, Troy and Brianne Addicks of Cypress, Sara and Shawn Everly of Houston, Jeanie Haevischer and special friend, Ronson Muegge of Brenham and Sherree and Geoff Pence of Dallas; great-grandchildren and spouse, Phillip Addicks of Suzhou, China, Ensign John Addicks of Saratoga Springs, New York, Anna and Andrew Marinelli of Conroe, Luke Addicks of San Antoino, Caityln, Andrew, and Elizabeth Addicks of Houston and Aiden Addicks of Cypress; brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Selma Wellmann, Ernest and Erline Wellmann, Carrie May Wellmann and Lenora Wellmann, all of Brenham; numerous nephews and nieces; and special friends, Darleen Fischer and the nursing staff at Trinity Care Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry and Hilda Wellmann, Eddie and Ella Wellmann, Herbert and Hilda Wellman, Raymond Wellmann, Sr. and Harry Wellmann; sister and brother-in-law Lillie and Bill Behnke; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Emil and Theresa Addicks, Ben and Selma Addicks, Henry and Ida Addicks, Herbert and Emma Addicks, Albert and Ella Addicks, Henry and Lena Kankel, Charlie and Lydia Eimann and Ben and Elise Peters; and her special God child, Laverne Siemsgluz.

Visitation with the family will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, April 15 in Brenham Memorial Chapel.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 16 in Immanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Jim Abbott officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ed Addicks, Billy Addicks, Troy Addicks, Shawn Everly, Geoff Pence, Wade Wellmann, David Wellmann and Harvey Wellmann.

Her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and Ronson Muegge will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials may be given to Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville or Brazos Valley Hospice.
