My Sincere Condolences to the Van Hook Family on Loyce's passing. Loyce was very popular in High School as i remember. I do remember her being a cheerleader. Although i did not know Loyce or Vince personally, I saw them at school regularly throughout the years. I can remember riding the school bus in 1969 to K Smith Elementary and I 1st saw Loyce getting on the bus in front of her house in Forest West in the mornings. I lost track of school mates many years ago from the 70's . I was saddened to learn of her passing. God Bless , David Garcia

I am so sorry to learn of Loyce's passing. I first came to know her back at Scarborough High School,
and my memories of her is that she was a sweet and gentle person, from a fine family, that I also came to know. I know she will be missed by her family and friends, and may God bless her, and may God bless her entire family always.

Remembering my dear friend, co-worker, and Buccaneer coaching sister wife with so much love and fondness. I so admired Loyce in her many roles! I first had the pleasure of meeting her when both of our husband’s coached for Blinn in the early 90’s; Kyle as the baseball coach and Willie as the football coach. It was there that a friendship and mutual understanding was formed. We both later taught at the Methodist Weekday School, where Loyce was also my daughter Lainie’s Pre-K teacher. We were also in the same Methodist Women’s Circle. Loyce exuded grace and style in everything that she did, as well as a warmth that embraced all who had the blessing of knowing her. Attending an event at the Van Hook home was like stepping into the pages of Southern Living! Her Pre-K classroom was a place filled with learning and love. I still hang timeless and charming ornaments on my tree every year that Lainie created in her classroom! Loyce’s brown eyes could sparkle with humor and fill with with caring and empathy, and I considered them a window into her beautiful soul. How greatly she will be missed by so many. We send our deepest condolences to Kyle, Clay, Vanessa, Olivia and the entire family. With Love and Sympathy, Willie and Susan Fritz
