What a beautiful soul- so sweet and always had a smile for me and my girls. When I would visit my grandparents, she was always included. My daughters would hope that her door was open to her room so they could see her beautiful portrait hanging above her bed. She always had a hug for them as well. Just a grand lady to have had the privilege of knowing- my family is saddened to hear of your loss, and know that our prayers are with you...

My parents, Willie & Jolyn Weiss, were neighbors of Marguerite for years and we have many wonderful memories of my folks and Marguerite at the kitchen table. I miss all three of them.

Marguerite was indeed a fine person, she was an inspiation to me, during the many years I represented she and her mother and sister.

Marguerite was the first true "free spirit" that I ever met in my life. She lived a dream that others dared to even dream! She told wonderful stories about her years in theatre...she was one of a kind and I treasure having known her. Who can forget her tootling around town in her little tan 1949-50 (?) Ford...at her own pace. She was a walking historian...and our greatest loss is not recording her keen memory and wit regarding Brenham's past. I'll always remember her as an example of what can be accomplished when you have a dream...and you dare (against all odds) to follow it. I'm sure she's center stage..eternally.

Terry, I am so sorry to hear of Marquerite's death. She was one of my favorites at the nursing home. We had some fun times....singing together, dancing. She enjoyed music so much. The stage was her world. I will never forget her. I only wish I knew her in her prime. She was such an example to us, her happy mode, no complaints, just enjoyed life in her silence. Such a lady!
I thank God that he allowed us to cross paths.
God Bless,
