Grace and Rita, I was saddened to hear about Marvin! What a sweet man - he will be missed. I appreciate all the times that you and Marvin picked Mom up for church activities! We know that he is now with his Lord and Master. God's blessings to you all.

Mrs. Cockrell, Rita, and Monte,
I am so sorry for your loss. You had an awesome husband and father! I remember when my dad died nearly 25 years ago, Mr. and Mrs. Cockrell were two of the first people to stop by before we headed out of town for the funeral. They brought a box of Twinkies as a treat for the long road trip. My kids met him at Camp Crestview. He was truly a servant of God and will be missed.

Marvin will be greatly missed. I always looked forward to visiting with him and Tommy at the reunions. Their stories of growing up in Bell Counties wilder days were always a favorite of mine. Sending my love to all of you.

Mr Cockrell will be sorely missed. Please know that Mom and Dad (David and Connis Osborn) along with Travis(brother) and myself are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. The only consolation is that we get to see Mr Cockrell again in heaven. He is not gone when we can still remember his smile and hold him in our hearts. Peace be with you and yours at this time and beyond.

Marvin was a son of Texas. He was a descendent of Henry Robert and Eliza Strickland Cockerell who came to Freestone County about 1850. He loved history and kept the family stories alive. We could count on Marvin to keep the annual Cockrell Reunion and the Golf Tournament going. He was a very caring man and will be missed so much. Our love to Grace and the children. Our love, sympathy and prayers go to Grace, the children and extended family. May precious memories of your life with Marvin give you comfort and peace. Remember that his love will always be with you. Marvin was a great Christian brother and was cherished by all who knew him. The Cockrells are beautiful people, loyal friends, hard working, and have great integrity. Heaven is a little sweeter now that Marvin is there. We grieve his passing but along with you we celebrate his life, and look forward to the resurrection when we can see him again. - - Love and Light, The Peggy Perkins Family, Georgetown TX
