Michael Hobgood

Michael Shane Hobgood, age 54 of Brenham, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2014 in Plano, Tex. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Sunday, April 27 with funeral service on Monday, April 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. both at Brenham Memorial Chapel. Pastor Blair Lundborg will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery.

Michael “Mike” was born January 28, 1960 in Lubbock, Texas to Larry S. and Elaine (Boudreaux) Hobgood where he attended school before relocating to Brenham and attending college. He was in management with his family at the local Sears Authorized Dealer and Retail Store in Brenham. His favorite sport was soccer.

His loving family survives: parents Larry and Elaine Hobgood; daughters Sydne Hobgood and Hannah Hobgood, along with their mother Rose Hobgood; sister Marty Deel; brother Mat Hobgood; nephew Dylan Hobgood and niece Andrea Kellum.
