Dear Lanell, Gayle and Bubba,

I was sad to her of your mother's passing. She was a kind and sweet lady always doing for others, and I know my mother loved her dearly.

Just last week, Jim and I were talking about how a long time ago people made clothes from flour and feed sacks. I told him how clearly I remembered someone giving us several feed sacks and your mother making me three dresses out of the material - I remember that one of the prints had little purple flowers and she added solid purple trim.

I am sorry that I can't be there with you for the service, but since I am retiring in two weeks, I must start training my replacement on Monday. However I hope to see you all soon. My prayers are with you.
