We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Bro. Tommy. He was a role model for us and taught us so much about the Bible and how it applies to our everyday lives. His warm smile and kind face reflected God's love and made everyone feel they were a friend. We will never forget his lessons, his love, and his friendship. Our prayers are with you and your family Mrs. Billie. Please do not hesitate to call if there is anything we can do for you. Love, David and Becky Byers

Mr. Burnett was such a nice man, and while I didn't know him well, I did care deeply for his family. My heart goes out to Julie, Patti, and Sally and their families, as well as to Mrs. Billie Burnett. Praying for your family during this very difficult time.

Our sympathy goes out to the Burnett family and our prayers are with you. I worked with Tommy at Shell in Deer Park, he was a wonderful boss who everyone loved and respected. He was a role model to all and even though he was "the boss" he was just one of the guys and we loved him.

When I got the news I just had to stop and take a deep breathe. We think the world of Tommy and Billie. We became a part of Tommy's Sunday School class 6 years ago and I think I know more about the bible now than I did before. Tommy and Billie seem more like grandparents to me than just a friend, I feel blessed to have them as friends. I am going to miss him dearly and our class will never be the same. I know he is up in heaven with Jesus and will watch over us all because he loved us too.
love,

This is a note I received from one of Uncle Tommy's coworkers - I wanted to share it:
"Your uncle was a great role model for me coming up. He was one of those guys that told me to keep my head down, work hard and anyone even without a formal education can go as far as their ability will allow them to. You see at the time he was one of those people referred to as a "mustang" that defied the system when he became a operations manager. When he use to sit down and talk to me he was a shift supervisor. Great person and a great leader of the men, a role model. Pleasure to have known him.

Thanks for the note, will keep the family in my prayers."

Like this note, everyone I ever met, who had worked with Tommy, respected him tremendously.
