Travis Edward Fischer

Travis Edward Fischer, 88, of Burton, Texas, passed away on May 26, 2026. He was born on March 21, 1938, to Gus and Alma Eberhardt Fischer.

Travis was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. He met the love of his life and married Margie Ann Winkelmann on July 10, 1960 at the Zionsville Lutheran Church.

Travis enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his beloved dog, Trixie. He treasured the time he spent with his family and friends throughout his life.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Margie Ann Winkelmann Fischer; daughter, Glenda Cerda and husband, Cerjio; son, Ricky Fischer; grandchildren, Carissa Cerda and Carson Cerda; sister-in-law, Betty Wiesepape.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elverna Mayer and husband, John Henry Mayer, Mary Louise Hoff and husband, Eddie Hoff, and Adell Kunkel and husband, Alfred Kunkel; and brother-in-law, Earl Wiesepape.

A private burial will be held at a later date.
