Walter Richter

It was a very sad moment when we heard of Walters passing. He was a very good friend to us and our mother. Walter was a kind, thoughtful and generous person - never a cross word. I (Ken) remember Walter first from my attempt to pick cotton for him in the late nineteen forties, of course, at my age then it was mostly play - not picking cotton. Wonderful memories include; fishing for cat fish at the farm, the visits at his apartment, and the long telephone conversations that always included baseball. Talking baseball put a smile in his heart.

We surely miss Walter and pray that the good Lord will continue to bless and watch over him.

What a beautiful gift Walter was to us. He gave us the gift of his trustworthiness, his honorability, his kindness, his genuineness and so much more. It is a very happy and consoling thought to think that he has reached his heavenly home with such a pure heart. Our congratulations to Walter for having "completed the race" so honorably and we offer our condolences to his family & all who knew him in the loss of such a fine friend.

Walter Richter was simply one of the finest men I have ever met. He was always kind, gentle, and willing to do whatever he could to help you. I don't recall him ever saying anything negative about anyone. He was a man of integrity, and a man I am glad to have known.

To the family, I am sorry for your loss, but what a life to celebrate!
