Robert was the only real friend I had when I moved to Brenham in 1985 for my first practice. His mother and family made us feel welcome. Although we drifted apart when I moved to College Station, I always thought of him as my friend. He was what I call the consummate family practice doctor. Family, faith, friends, and patients were his source of energy. If Bubba reads this send me an email. chuck sanders

Beth, I was so shocked and deeply saddened to hear of Roberts passing! My heart breaks for you and your children. He was truly one of a kind and will be missed by so many!! I always enjoyed my interactions with him, whatever they were and admired him for just being who he was. I pray for Gods healing hand, mercy, comfort, care and love to surround you now and in the days/weeks/years to come!

Our thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow. May your memories bring you peace and comfort. We will always remember his beaming smile and dry sense of humor and how much he cherished supporting his kids.
