Hal, Rob - Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of your dad. He and your mom were always kind and gracious and passed that trait to the two of you. He enjoyed a full life and shared the best of his talents.
Sincerely, Charlie and Patricia Kelm

To Billie and family

We were very sorry to learn of George's passing. He was a wonderful person and a true patriot who will be greatly missed.
We treasured knowing him as he was a good friend. We had some fun times enjoying golf over the years he was playing in the men's golf association.

Our best to you and the entire family.

Sincerely.

Sure liked George and all the Moorman's. Growing up with Hal and spending time at their beautiful place out on the Navasota highway were great times, and George and Billie were always gracious hosts. Mr. Moorman was a true "Southern Gentleman", one of a host of Brenham's treasures!!

Billie, Hal and Rob-
Words can not express my sadness at the loss of Mr. Moorman. What a terrific human being. As a little kid growing up in Brenham, one of my first memories of Mr. Moorman was accidentally running up the stairs to his law office which was over the old Roy Wiese Pharmacy. He calmed me down and walked me back down to a worried mother who couldn't find me so I could get the banana split I had been promised after having Andy Anderson chase me around Dr. Boy's old office to give me a shot. That happened a number more times..maybe not by accident. I can remember my little 4-6 year old mind putting it together that this nice man who delivered me back to my Mother and a banana split was the husband of the nice lady who owned the Bo-Peep Shop on the square. A couple of years later, I pitched a wall eyed fit because Billie had a Surrey with the Fringe on Top with pedals in her front display window I just had to have. Mr. Moorman took it out of the window, took time from his job and came to our house and put the contraption together for me....my hero. And then I remember how kind the Moorman's were to my grandparents, Mom and Pop John, when Billie opened her store across the street from their cafe and Mr. Moorman moved the law office downstairs. I remember Grandma and Grandpa telling me that George and Billie had come over to them and told them if they ever needed anything, they were just across the street and that meant the world to them. And finally, I remember how kind and gentle George was to first my Mom when her mother died and then to me when my Mom died in turn as he took care of the legal dealings and more importantly, took care of us as a friend.
The world has few George Moormans and we are all poorer by his passing, but oh, so much richer for knowing him. Take care in knowing the comfort he showed so many, but most of all the love, the pride and the devotion he had for each of you.
