Sally and family
I am so sad and hurt for each of you. Please feel the love being sent to you and all the prayers being offered for your peace and understanding. I lost my father very suddenly when he was 46 and I can relate to how your life has changed in an instant. Only God can provide you with the strength you will need to go on. Let your friends and family support you and lean on all of us who care for you.
I have such good memories of laughs and good times shared with Jay over many years. My favorite story is about the time we were camping at Enchanted Rock and he was ready to sell his tent and tell everyone he had never slept a night in it...because he hadn't slept at all!
I pray that God will hold you in his arms during the days and nights ahead.

I'm so sorry to learn of Jay's passing. We grew up in the same neighborhood - I have been recalling the childhood memories - he will be deeply missed. May the love of friends and family be a source of comfort to you.

Dear Sally, Jill, and Jared

Written words cannot express my deepest sympathy for your loss, but please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Jay has left a place in the community that will be difficult, if not impossible to fill, but I knew him best as a loving, witty father to one of my dear friends. Jill, I cannot fathom the shock of your loss, and my prayers go out to you, Charlie, and Merideth...along with all of your family and Jay's multitude of friends. Our condolences to you all and our hearts go out to dear Sally during this difficult time.

With deepest sympathy,
Amanda, Jeff, and Carter McVean

To the Jones family -- We are so very very saddened at the news of Jay's passing. He was truly one of the nicest and finest men we have ever met. He was our attorney and friend for many years and we will miss him as we know you will until that that day when eternity begins for each of us. God bless you and we pray for comfort in this time of grief.
