John and Dottie: God has gained a really special angel ! Milly was the perfect Southern lady, possessing all the grace and charm of the great ladies who came before her. I adored hearing Milly talk! No one could say “Honey” or “Sugah” quite like she could. Did you know that she and my mother (Betty Yoakum) had their phone conversations at 4:00 AM ? Those two shared a birthday and so many traits. Mother is already missing her Milly stories!
May our Heavenly Father give you strength and lovely memories of this beautiful, charming lady.

I was looking through my Facebook today to show my sister's part time caregiver a video of hummingbirds that swarmed our feeders one year. While looking for it, I came across a video about cardinals representing loved ones that have passed and that when you see one, they are visiting you. This was so appropriate at this time due to Aunt Milly''s passing and her love of birds. Right after finding this video today and showing it to my sister, Cynthia, I looked out my front door to find two cardinals (one male and one female) on our circular drive. It gave me comfort.

I will always remember sitting on her back sunroom, visiting with her and watching the birds that congregated just outside.
